Why live in La Crescenta, La Canada, Pasadena or Glendale?

The Rose Parade began parading over 100 years ago to demonstrate Southern California’s fabulous climate to the nation.  This year the National Association of Realtors entered a float as part of REALTORS 100th Anniversary.

Pictured above is the NAR Rose Parade Float on one of its test dates.  Floats must pass an operation and driving test about a month before the parade. The following photo is the float in the 2009 New Year’s parade:

What a pretty float!

The float is the 2009 winner of the Isabel Coleman award (best presentation of color and color harmony) — what a showstopper – the REALTOR float is magnificent.

Among the other dignitaries on the float is the 2009 President of the Pasadena Foothills Assoc of REALTORS, West De Young, pictured below:

La Crescenta, La Canada and Montrose are among the communities served by the Pasadena Foothills Association of Realtors.  Each year Realtors help hundreds of families and individuals find homes in the Verdugo Hills.  These neighborhoods are served by great schools, near employment centers in Los Angeles, Pasadena and Glendale and homeowners enjoy the great climate, outdoor amenities and easy access to all of Southern California’s cultural and recreational attractions.
