Families from throughout the neighborhoods of La Crescenta, Montrose & Glendale enjoy the wonderful setting & beautiful views from the Deukmejian Wilderness Park. Overlooking Glendale & the Verdugo Hills, the City of Glendale purchased the property in 1988 and opened the park in 1989. Originally owned by the Mesnager family through most of the 20th century, the Mesnagers operated a winery there until 1920 with the passage of Prohibition.
